KARL OTTO BRAUN was founded in Germany in 1903 and has developed and produced medical textiles for more than 110 years. The KOB portfolio comprises bandages and woven carrier fabrics, all of which are developed in Germany. Due to superior product quality, KOB is the global market leader for elasticated specialist textiles many years.

374 is a permanent elastic fixation and support bandage with fast woven edges. The bandage is comfortable to wear and can be easily applied.

Main uses for this bandage are fixation dressings, support and relief dressings. It is suited for fixation of wound pad material, cannulas and padding material.

The bandage can be used for support and relief dressings, after blunt or sport injuries for the stabilization of muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints.

Confolastic® V 564 is an elastic fixation bandage with crepe-like surface and fast woven edges manufactured according to DIN 61634.

The bandage is soft and comfortable to wear. Dressings with Confolastic® are non-slipping. Its high elasticity makes application fast and easy.

Main use of Confolastic® V 564 is the fixation e.g. of compresses, cannulas and padding material – especially on sensitive skin. The bandage is also suitable as a fixation dressing on joints and permanently moving parts of the body.

Rinkilastic® 184 is an elastic fixation bandage which is not made with natural rubber latex. The bandage is with cut edges.

The fast and comfortable application of Rinkilastic® 184 does not require tape or clips to secure the ends.

Main use of Rinkilastic® 184 is the fixation of wound dressings, catheters, cannulas and cast splints whenever a cohesive fixation bandage is needed. Rinkilastic® 184 is also suited for non-slipping fixation bandages on joints and permanently moving parts of the body.

The cohesive, support and compression bandage

Medirip® M 199 is a support bandage with compression performance. It is air permeable and absorbent.

Dressings need no tape or clips to secure the ends. Thanks to a special finishing process, this bandage can be torn in the transversal direction. This makes Medirip® M 199 economic, as you’ll never use more than needed – just keep the rest for next time.

752 Sporty Cool Blue

The non-woven cooling bandage

Sporty Cool Blue 752 is a light, cohesive, permanently elastic non-woven bandage which is impregnated with a cooling fluid. It is not made with natural rubber latex. The bandage is easy to apply.

For an economic application, two to three layer overlaps are enough.

Thanks to the immediate cooling effect, which can last up to two hours, and the additional compression effect, it prevents excessive swelling and is well-suited as first aid treatment.

Main uses for this bandage are first aid dressings after blunt injuries like strains, sprains, bruises and swellings.

The 136 is a skin-friendly bandage with cut edges. Due to its cohesive coating. it is easy to apply and non-slipping.

Main uses for this bandage are light support, relief and compression dressings. The bandage is used as a support dressing after distortions, dislocations as well as tendon or muscle injuries. It is also used as a relief dressing in the aftercare of fractures and sport injuries. It is also suited for light compression dressings.

Roselastic 530

The strong, cotton elastic compression bandage with short stretch

Roselastic® 530 is made of 100 percent cotton with fast woven edges.

The skin-friendly dressings with Roselastic allow for compression therapy treatments with low resting pressure and high working pressure. It has a high stiffness and approximately 90 percent extensibility. Once the ends are secured, Roselastic ensures safe compression dressings.

Main uses for this KOB bandage are in compression therapy, where it is used for strong compression and support dressings of all types. Roselastic® 530 is also used as relief, support and joint bandage for sprains, dislocations, strains and tendovaginitis.

The 2-Component-System

2-Component-System consists of two different bandages:

  1. The first layer is a single-sided cohesive coated elastic padding bandage. It distributes the pressure of the outer layer evenly along the leg to ensure the required compression pressure and prevent constriction if the layers overlap.
  2. The second layer 752 is a cohesive, permanently elastic bandage, which retains the compressive effect over several days when used in combination with the first layer.

The compression force of the system is like the compression classification 3C of British Standard BS 7505-1995.

The compression system has been developed for the management of venous leg ulcers and related conditions and provides therapeutic compression for up to seven days.

Stockinette 930

The elastic tubular bandage

Stockinette 930 is knitted seamlessly from 100% bleached cotton. Dressings with Stockinette are skin-friendly and comfortable due to the smooth, non-wrinkling surface of the fabric.

Main uses of Stockinette are the fixation of wound dressings, bandages and splints as well as skin protection underneath rigid support dressings. Stockinette is also suitable for dressing protection.
